Lufthansa First Class Frankfurt-Denver
I arrived at the First Class Terminal around noon and worked in one of the work rooms until my PA came for me just after 1PM. One other DEN pax joined me in a new S Class for the quick drive to Z66.
Amuse-bouche. Some type of weird German potato thingy.
Showtime.
Today's menu. Lots of strange German stuff.
The starter trio.
Spiced Salmon Slices with Fennel and Citrus Confit. So-so.
Meatball "Konigstien Style" in savory sauce with Potato cucumber salad. So-so.
Kefir Cake with marinated Pumpkin and Cherry Tomato Marmalade. Yuck.
Delicious Baby Green salad with carrots, button mushrooms, saffron caulifower and Grape Seed vinaigrette.
But the highlight of my two Lufthansa flights this week was the Thai Cream Soup with Coconut milk, shitake mushrooms, soy sprouts and cilantro. Absolutely sensational. Rivaling American's Pablano Asiago Cheese soup as the best in the skies.
Poularde with Barbeque Jus, Sweet Corn Cream and mixed pickles was very good.
For dessert, a wonderful Ivory Chocolate Dome with marinated Rhubarb and Hibiscus. Really good.
After a few hours of work and a great 90 minute sleep in bed, we were two hours from Denver and time for meal 2.
A little bit of everything on the menu.
Very tasty.
And one more dessert, a light and delicous Strawberry Yogurt Cake.
We touched down at DIA at 3:33P and were at the gate at around 3:30P. Ground staff had problems with 2L so we exited after J pax through 1L. Despite my fast walk to customs, there were already six pax standing in front of TWO (yes only two) Global Entry kiosks. From experience, I headed for the regular queue and was thru and out before any of the pax waiting at the Global Entry kiosks had moved. Remarkable light Friday rush hour traffic on I-225 and I was home by 4:30P.
