American Eagle First Class to LAX

The only reason I booked this flight is that I wound up needing 5 more BA Tier points by the end of next week to re-quailfy for BA Gold.   So I needed an AA flight and SJC-LAX was the only one that worked.  Since I only needed 5 Tier points, I booked a cheap $55 Economy ticket and used my BA Gold status for Main Cabin Extra bulkhead seat, which actually has more legroom than First.

Despite my cheapo Economy ticket, my One World Emerald status got me an OPUP upgrade to First as Economy was oversold tonight.

An absolutely gorgeous night for flying.

Despite the short flight, excellent service from a great cabin crew.

And quite a show on approach to LAX on July 4th, with literally thousands of fireworks, some legal but mostly not so much)

We landed 30 minutes ahead of schedule and headed for the Eagles' Nest bus gates.

Fortunately, a T4 bus was waiting for us and we left right away.

And into T4 a few minutes later.

Not much traffic on the 405 tonight and I was home in South Orange County a little after 11pm.  

What an amazing and fun four days and First Class flights and culinary adventures.  Thanks so much for following along.
