Thai Airways First Class Bangkok to Tokyo

My 24 hour trek home to Denver begins with Thai Airways gorgeous new First Class 77W Suites from Bangkok to Tokyo Narita. Wonderful Thai service once on board but on the ground, just miserable. Challenged check-in, no escort to the lounge and clueless service in the disappointing new First Class Lounge, a far cry from the wonderful old First Class Lounge. In the air, stellar service with a major inprovement in meal options from a year ago. My bento box breakfast was absolutely superb.

Except not today, as three other First Class passengers brought an entourage of a dozen each with multiple bags to check.

The result was chaos as I let nature takes its course and waited 20 minutes.  By that time, the "escorts" had disappeared escorting the supposed celebrities to the lounge.  The extent of my escort service was pointing me to security.  LOL.

No a big deal since I was here last year.

LOL.  The only ones wearing masks were staff.

Pleasant First Class Lounge section but sadly a major downgrade from the old pre-Covid First Class Lounge.

As was the quality of the staff.

Time for breakfast.

The Shrimp Won Ton Soup was very good.

And I loved the Patongo.

As the gate was nearby, I decided to forgo the "escort service" since I wanted to board first and since no one in the lounge could understand the concept.  LOL.

Free Wifi typically means useless Wifi as was the case today.

Then to sleep for a couple of hours.

Beautiful day on approach to Narita.

Once in the air, Thai First Class was wonderful.  Delicious food and flawless service from an outsanding crew.
