Cape Town
Another beautiful day in Cape Town and this morning we are off for a private helicopter flight of the Cape Peninsula including Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope. A Cape Town Helicopters shuttle bus picked us up and the hotel and dropped us off at the Waterfront helipad office a few minutes later.
After a brief safety video, we were escorted to our beautiful Bell JetRanger and met our pilot Elle.
A few minutes later, we lifted off for a wonderful 45 minute tour of the gorgeous Cape Peninsula.
Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope.
Looking back towards Cape Town as we start the return portion of our flight.
Descending toward The Waterfront.
And our approach and perfect landing.
What an amazing experience.
From the helipad, we were shuttled back to The Waterfront.
To first check out the shopping centre.
And the Cape Wheel.
Even got the "Pensioner's" discount. LOL.
We then started heading back to the hotel...
... hhen Mrs. SFO suggested a Hop On Hop Off bus tour. Hey, why not? We chose the 90 minute Table Mountain/Beach tour. HOHO is a great and informative way to see a city's highlights, especially on a beautiful day like today.
We first toured the city centre and then headed up to Table Mountain.
To the Table Mountain gondola base.
And then down to the tony beach communities.
And finally back towards the Waterfront.
And an open air concert.
A bite to eat and finally back to the One&Only for a nap.
Next up: The long and winding road home.
